Porcelain is not only an important commodity of the ancient Silk Road, but also an important carrier of cultural and artistic exchanges. Therefore, in the process of creation, we have made a systematic design of this set of theme tableware from utensils to pictures, and strive to highlight the aesthetic features of different regions and nationalities in the use of elements and colors. "

According to designer Mao Xiaodong, the theme of this design is mainly to express the culture and art of "Belt and Road Initiative" through the carrier of ceramics, and Dunhuang art is an important embodiment of the integration and symbiosis of culture and art on the road of ancient silk. The picture is decorated with gold and blue-green as the main colors, and the main screen design highlights "one belt" and "one road", with the silk road on the road and the silk road at sea as the main design elements. it is composed of four patterns: ship waves, camel sand dunes, Phoenix peony and nine-color deer auspicious clouds. The ship waves represent the sailing of the Silk Road at sea, the camel sand dunes represent the Silk Road, the Phoenix peony represents the Chinese traditional auspicious culture, and the nine-color Lu Xiangyun represents cultural exchange and integration. The whole represents the cultural exchange and integration embodied in the Silk Road, as well as the auspicious prosperity and peace conveyed by the Silk Road.

"the decoration of bowls, plates and other utensils is decorated in a large number of details according to the shape, the comparison between complexity and simplicity, and the integration of traditional elements and modern forms. With Ruyi, Lianzhu and curling grass as the main design elements, it is composed of Ruyi group flower, beaded pattern and continuous curling pattern. Ruyi Tuanhua represents good luck, the beaded pattern represents roundness and continuity, and the continuous rolling grass pattern represents luxuriant vitality. The overall pattern represents exuberance and auspiciousness. In addition, some classical artistic elements are used as finishing decorations, such as "three-eared Rabbit". Three rabbits share three ears through ingenious composition. This classic image has spread to all parts of Europe and Asia from the Silk Road as a cultural symbol, and has been widely used. The whole set of works strives to truly interpret the diversity, integration and interaction of Dunhuang art under the concept of modern design. "
